Puget Sound Center Receives Donation from The Boeing Company
BOTHELL, WA -The Center received a check for $5000 from The Boeing Company
recently to buy Cisco switches and routers for the Center’s Cisco
Networking Academy program. As a Regional Training Center for Cisco, the
Center works with local high schools and community colleges in training
instructors to teach the academy curriculum. In addition, The Boeing Company
donated 20 computers to the Center to be used in teaching instructors the
IT Essentials Class, which is part of the Cisco Sponsored Curriculum program.
The computers will also be used by the Digital Bridge Academy, which is
strategic partner of the PSCTLT. The Academy is an out-of-school youth
program that combines technology training with GED completion in communities
in south Seattle.
