Peer Coaching Master Trainer Training in Brazil and Malaysia
BOTHELL, WA - In February, Les Foltos and Shelee King George met with 32
Brazilian educators to provide the first phase of the Peer Coaching Master
Trainer Training.
To prepare for the PSCTLT trainers, the Brazilian Microsoft Partners in
Learning team had translated materials and hired simultaneous translators.
Each morning, participants donned headphones to hear the Portuguese translation
while training was delivered in English. Trainers wore headphones to hear
the English translation when participants spoke. The second phase of training
occurs in June.
In early March, Microsoft’s Asian Partners in Learning team gathered
80 participants from a dozen Asia-Pacific countries to provide the first
phase of the Peer Coaching Master Trainer Training. Six PSCTLT staff members
provided five days of training at the Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort
at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia.
Participants learned how the Peer Coaching program builds the human infrastructure
needed to integrate technology and create engaging learning activities.
Participants left with action plans to implement Peer Coaching in their
country. The second phase of training will occur at the end of August.
